The A&D Fortis includes two password protection options. One option restricts access to authorised users only (up to 11, including one administrator). The administrator has full control, while other users are limited to performing measurements and adjusting sensitivity. Alternatively, only the administrator can be assigned a password, allowing general users to operate the balance without logging in, but still limiting them to measurements and sensitivity adjustments.
In industrial settings, impact loads often happen when items are placed roughly by machinery or dropped onto balances by operators. The A&D Fortis can detect shocks to its weight sensor caused by these impacts and displays their intensity on a scale from 0 to 4. It also provides audible alerts for higher levels (3 and 4), which may negatively affect the balance.
